Holy Apostles College and Seminary Alumni Association Scholarship for Catholic Leaders – NOMINATIONS OPEN
The Holy Apostles College and Seminary Alumni Association Scholarship for Catholic Leaders is now open for nominations.
Each year the Holy Apostles College and Seminary Alumni Association awards four full scholarships for Masters of Arts degrees to extraordinary Catholic evangelists who have demonstrated excellence in leadership.
The mission of Holy Apostles is to “cultivate Catholic leaders for evangelization.” By “mastering” a concentration in Catholic theology or philosophy, Catholic leaders will be able to speak about issues relevant to our culture with greater command and knowledge of philosophy, Church teaching, Sacred Scripture, dogmatic theology, moral theology, and Church history.
As the scholarship is being awarded based on dynamic presence within Catholic social media, the college expects the recipients to be active ambassadors to their reading and listening audiences, promoting our mission to cultivate Catholic leaders for the purpose of evangelization and encouraging others to pursue their academic careers with us as well.
Holy Apostles College and Seminary is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, the nation’s oldest regional accrediting agency, which evaluates more than 250 degree-granting colleges, universities and other institutions in the six-state region. In 2006 Holy Apostles was reaccredited for the maximum 10 years. The institution was also approved by The Cardinal Newman Society for its commitment to fostering a strong sense of Catholic identity.
Nominations open for the 2015-2016 year on November 3, 2014.
Please submit your nomination using THIS FORM. You may nominate yourself. Nominees will be contacted before a decision is made and asked to respond to a short questionnaire about their interest in pursuing a Master’s degree with Holy Apostles. A final round of nominations will be selected for review, and four Catholic leaders will be awarded a full scholarship.
NOTE: Nominations will close in the mid to late Spring semester, but a date has not yet been set. We will announce the deadline when a date is set.
